RBWG 2010. Pours a hazy light copper- golden with a thin white head. Aroma is spicy phenolic mixed with some sweet crackery malts with honey and dough and fruity zesty tropical and pine hints- strange but ok. Flavor is yeasty, spicy phenolic light pepper mixed with some pineapple, and pear notes honey and candy sugar sweetness- light cookiedough as it warms. Ok.

Soft yeasty fruitiness. Estery to an extent apricot bread. Airy carb. Apple. Golden hazy thin head ligjt lace. Green apple ligjt ester spice apple pie. Little tartness. Very carbonated. Big bubbled. Meh.

Pours a clear golden color with a finger of white head. A mild funkiness to it. Some tart fruits, pineapple, lemon zest, and apple. Sweet malt and a touch of sugar, too. Quite nice. There’s lots of sweet fruit and a little bit of tartness, too. A bit of candi sugar and definitely some caramel malt sweetness, too. Very nice. Medium bodied with medium to high carbonation.

GABF 2011, listed as "Golden Mean". Opaque sickly yellow, but with a lovely aroma of blonde malt grains, candy sugar, and a sweet fruity yeast-like pie. Flavor had some nice gold ale malt with lambic sweetness, peach, apricot, and indefinable maltiness. Big bodied. Fruity hoppy but not very bitter, very light sourness.

Bottle @ Papsø. Pours a golden color with a small off-white head. Has a sweetish malty spicy fruity aroma. Sweetish malty spicy yeasty flavor. Has a sweetish malty spicy yeasty finish.

When i die, i don’t want to go to heaven - i’m a killer, in for the 187 .. . Pours a hazy gold bar .. good firm head, lacing is all brussels and what not .. . light syrup, yeast, fizzy caramel and almost a cream soda quality .. . Good stuff from this quiet brewery .. . No, no, no. This chicken’s with me.

bottle from silas at the root cellar. poured a nice gold with a white head that lasted forever and laced the entire glass on the way down. aroma was citrus, orange, pepper, and maybe some slight banana. flavor is lemon, pepper, and some other fruity notes. mouth feel is awesome and creamy with a frothy carbonation level. for some reason this reminded me of duvel. awesome stuff and will have to get some more!!!

750 ml bottle at the Root Cellar in San Marcos. Pours a cloudy golden with a white head. Nice lacing. Nose is of pepper and other spices with yeast. Taste is pepper, spice and lemon. Mouthfeel is sweet and dry.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. We ducked as the cork hit the ceiling and bounced around. Then it poured with a huge foamy eggshell head and an enticing floral fruity aroma. There is a typical Belgian banana flavor with some nice spices and a warm alcohol trail.

750 c&c from ericandersnavy. Cork hit a 12 foot ceiling and bounced hard! Pours hazy orange/amber with a 4 finger foamy off-white head. Aroma suggests pineapple. Med bdy/light foamy carb. Flavor is ligrter fruits and a touch of yeast/spice. Drinks extremely well.

Clear medium yellow color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, light hoppy, perfume, moderate yeasty, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration, fruity, perfume. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20101024]
