(750ml bottle marked DUB3, brewed 10-24, bottled 11-8 thanks to Mora2000) First off, this beer is almost undoubtedly a porter or Belgian stout and not a dubbel. Must have been mislabeled.

Deep black with a nice tan head. Nose of cocoa, Belgian yeast, and coffee. Taste of coffee, Belgian yeast, dark sweet chocolate, chalky finish that’s very carbonated. Quite nice actually.

GABF 2011. Murky dark nutty brown, thin beige head. Aroma of dark roasted cereal grains, a yeasty bready tone, and some dark fruits like raisins and figs. Nice flavorful big body with a dark fruit overtone, and a bit of burnt malty toffee.

Bottle:   Deep caramel, thin sudsy off-white head, sparce lacing.   Strong pale fruit skin on the nose, apple and pear.   Sweet malty breadiness on the tongue.   Backside is full of apple and pear.   Not as heavy or bready, but almost prefer that.   Sweeter than most.   Decent, body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Thanks Bill for this treat!

A: The pour is a dark amber color with a khaki colored head. S: Definitely a bubblegum aroma from the yeast, as well as some banana and miscellaneous spices. Notes of dark fruits, particularly raisins, and a small amount of roasted malts. Toffee is the primary form of malt/sweetness on the nose. T: The flavor almost mirrors the aromas. Clove, banana, and bubblegum give the beer a very "Belgian" flavor. A hint of booze is in there, but there is a nice toffee and toasted bread flavor and some of those dark fruit notes. M: Medium in both body and carbonation. O: Another beer from this brewery that I’ve liked quite a bit. Really easy to drink, and surprisingly so for an 8% beer.

750ml bottle. Rating #42. Dark brown amber with a tan head. Sweet aroma with not a lot else. Odd flavor I can’t put my finger on, it’s goos though. (1561)

Bottle @ Papsø. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty licorice and caramel aroma with yeasty hints and some hoppy hints. Sweetish malty spicy yeasty caramel flavor. Has a sweetish malty slightly roasted spicy yeasty finish.

Tasted at the big “SeaBass has got to go” tasting. Pours dark murky grapefruit juice with off white head. The aroma seems mild with yeasty spices, apple, pear and a touch of caramel. The taste is similar and begins fruity with sweet apple and pear and then picking up spicy hops, floral hops and a thin layer of sugary sweet malts.

Bottle @ Seabass going away party, Jan15th ’11 Léger brune/orange, mousse beige. Fruitée, malt et caramel, note de levure belge, qcq touche de houblon et citron. En effet une dubbel avec un profile qui reste plus axé sur la malt gardant un peu de note fruitée rouge/noire.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours dark brown with a thin disappearing beige head and a treacle and coffee aroma. There is a chocolate and coffee flavor, sweet and carbonated with a dry bitter finish and a warming alcohol trail.
