Cask conditioned at Harbury Beer Fest ’09. Black with brownish tinge, no head. This tasted like a linctus cough medicine mixed with cold black coffee. Sweet and sticky, but with a late, very late note of hop bitterness.

Cask conditioned gravity dispense Merchants Inn Rugby. A black beer with an off-white ring of bubbles. The aroma is fruity and vinuous with a hint of sourness. Thick and gloopy in the mouth with fruit licorice and leather. Fruity tar and a touch of acidity. Strong and interesting.
