6th August 2008. Dark brown beer. A light touch of roasted malt but no bitterness. Noticeable hops, the honey is well integrated and provides body as much as flavour. Feels bigger than it’s 3.6%

[Cask conditioned] This is very sweet even for a mild ale. Not very honeyish, though. Roasty malt notes as well.

As Silk Tork says, almost identical to the Cwmbran Crow Valley “Stout” that we sampled at the same time. Can’t say I noticed the honey though. Nonetheless, a pleasant, quite full bodied mild. Cask, Pigs Ear Beer Fest, East London, December 2003.

Gravity fresh @ Pig's Ear Festival, East London. Roasty coffee aroma. Red berry. Refreshing and tasty. Tastes almost the same as Cwmbran's Crow Valley Stout.
