shrubber85 (2511), Wallhalben, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany Jun 16, 2008 Swing-top bottle. Banana, clove, wheat malt aroma - very nice. Cloudy yellow-brown color with large fluffy white head. Wheat malt flavor dominates with light banana and clove notes. Nice body - very good. Just not much fruitiness or spiciness comes out in the flavor Lubiere (3266), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Dec 14, 2007 A very hazy blonde to amber weizen with a thick creamy egg white head. A very pungeant banana aroma with light cloves. In mouth, a lighlty sweet banana malt, creamy, with lots of cloves. A bit short in mouth but rather nice. Best weizen on the trip. On tap at the brewery, Oct. 19 2007. MrRomero (1881), Wiesbaden-Biebrich, Germany Jun 11, 2007 500ml swingtop bottle: poured cloudy butterscotch yellow with a thick white pillowy head. Moderate metallic aroma underneath the head. Light banana and clove. Flavor really brings out the banana and cloves. More full flavored than other recent hefes I’ve had. The banana and clove seems to disappear quickly after I swallow leaving a moderately flavorless finish. A good beer though. MoritzF (3883), Ruhrpott, Germany Dec 13, 2006 (swing top bottle) Cloudy orange colour with a fluffy white foamy head. Moderately sweet and slightly acidic fruity (banana, citrus) and wheat-malty aroma with a faint clovy touch. Sweet and slightly sour flavour, wheat-malty, moderately fruity taste; light bodied, lively carbonated mouthfeel; slim, moderately dry weaty finish with light notes of clovy spice. A decent, refreshing Hefeweizen. motelpogo (4111), Plzen, Czech Republic Oct 15, 2006 bottled. i figured i should get something local from the massive maruhn beershop just outside darmstadt and was glad that i did. regular hazy hefe appearance, big vanilla custard and hay aroma was very inviting. quite spicy and grassy with some luscious cheesecake and meringue and beautiful creamy texture.
