Thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, fine malty, dry-hoppy background. Light spicy notes. Finish malty, a bit metallically, lemon hints. Not bad!

It’s yellow-golden with a white, creamy head. The aroma has notes of grain, straw, flower and malt. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of grain, straw, flower, bread and the finish is fairly dry. A nice and well balanced pilsner.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tall half-litre flip-top bottle: best before 4 Mar 2013, poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard @ home on 20 Nov 2012.
Typical lager/pilsner look: light golden, clear, bright and clean, huge white head of foaming bubbles sat on top, which takes it above average for looks.
Dry and crisp hop flavour with a slight grainy nose. Standard German Pilsner, a little drier than some I’ve had over the years but not check pullingly so.
OK, refreshing and would have suited a warmer, sunnier day than the one I choose to drink it on!
