500 ml flip-top bottle from Mariuhn in Darmstadt, Germany. Pours a hazy, lazy orange with a full white head. Aroma is hefe, bubblegum and cloves. Taste is a smoth pleasant and mellow Hefe. Palate is a creamy smooth base. Nice beer.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 fiulijn (12360) - Malmö, DENMARK - JUN 24, 2011
Draught at the Braustüb’l of the brewery Cloudy blond color. The aroma is mild but nice, spicy, not fruity. The body is weak, the beer flows without leaving too much trace, some wheat flavor, and very nice spicy touch (cloves); low bitterness. The final is too weak. Simple but pleasant.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Koelschtrinker (8619) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 19, 2011
Test vom 15.5.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,5,5,4,8,5 - 5,40
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 asheft (2269) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 2, 2010
[on tap at brewery]
Sweet and spicy clove aroma with a touch of bubblegum, lemon, and coriander. Hazy yellow-straw appearance under a pristine, white top. Dry, clove and bubblegum flavour that has some herbal characteristics and then some mineral water. Light body, medium carbonation, herbal bitter finish.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Allen (2689) - SWITZERLAND - JUN 14, 2010
Bottled 50cl. Ordered from www.bierzwerg.de. Perhaps a little lighter in color than most Hefeweizens. Good head retention and nice lacework. Light bodied, remarkably smooth and reminiscent of marzipan, banana, nutmeg, melissa and clove throughout. Nice yeast components which are accompanied by a good malt profile. Easy drinkable and not too sweet. Mint and melissa showing up in the finish which is luckily not too heavy on the residual sugars. Flawless and pleasant. I like the nutmeg components which are pretty strong in my opinion. A Hefeweizen which has plenty of character.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 TBone (9997) - Pori, FINLAND - APR 5, 2010
Swing top bottle (BZ, BB 06/2010)
Hazy orange-yellow color, small white head. Aroma is wheaty-grainy, semi sweet with hints of banana. Flavor is standard hefeweizen: bubblegum, banana, semi sweet - no sourness or much bitterness. Just faint hops in the aftertaste. Clean and balanced although not a super, but I could drink this another time.

.5L bottle - Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a hazy golden orange. Aromas of bread/bananas/ and some fruit. Had a taste of yeasty bread with some spice. Not as clove/banana as most Hefs I’ve tried. I would actually seek this one out.
