Spicy and yeasty nose. Huuge head and dark copper hue. The bottle recommends to tip the bottle before opening and unless you do that you will not get the zwickel-hazyness in your beer. Fruity background from the yeast and malt, some apple-like bitterness. Carbonation is low (at least after stirring the bottle) so the mouthfeel is velvety and round with a sticky malt aftertaste. Medium to full body.

Pours a lightly hazy gold with a thin white head. Clean citrus. Smooth and sweet, creamy and grainy.

Clear golden color, small steady white head. Slightly buttery, grassy, hayish aroma. Light-bodied. Slighlty sweet, pale malty, buttery notes. Grainy finish.

Hazy deep blond color; compact head. Light cereals and malt aroma. The low carbonation allows the flavor to develop more, nevertheless it’s a simple one, with light malt flavor, some residual sweetness, average bitterness (some more hop bite would be appreciated). Very similar to the Helles, just with a rounder body. Easy.

Trockener Getreidegeruch. Leicht getreidiger und mittelwürziger Antrunk, die hopfige Note wirkt zu schwach. Auch das herb-malzige Aroma ist nicht das stärkste, passt so aber wenigstens zum Hopfen. [on tap at brewery] Aroma has some diacetyl butterscotch and is sweet. Foggy yellow-orange under a white cover. Spicy herbal hops with gentle bitterness that is balanced by malt sweetness. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly bitter finish.

Unclear medium yellow orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, caramel, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090927]

bottle - little bit hazy golden beer with a white head. Some bread aroma. Flavour has malt and sweetness. Some bitterness.

Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a lightly cloudy golden body. Long lasting head retention and considerable carbonation. Malty aroma. Almost buttery mouthfeel.

This Zwickel is good with a cloudy pour and small white head. There is more sweetness than expected but has an aftertaste of alcohol even thou it is only 4.8%.
