Bottle, but not a bad one. Quite nice at that. Soft and yes flowery in a nice crisp yet sort of soft way. Bouncey, bouncey. Pine and lemon and chewing the floorboards of a church. American? Damn nice.

Oct, 2004 Bottle from Asda. These Amarillo hops are the latest craze, and from this example it is clear why. This is a soft, creamy and delicately flavoursome ale. The Amarillo hops are flowery and buttery and not at all aggressive, providing a fulfilling and satisfying and thirst-quenching ale. Yummy! [3.9]
Feb, 2005: Bottle from Asda. Wow! This is stunning. Delicious. Carbonation may be a little harsh for my taste, but those hops are awesome. The sweet malt provides just the right base. Mmm. Nice one! [4.4]
Feb, 2007 Bottle. Compared with Bluebird, Chimera IPA & Wild Hare. Biscuit malts and a gorgeous vanilla, violets and citric hop flavour. Carbonation a bit sharp, but this is such a great beer that even filtered and force-carbonated it tastes great; is fresh this would be wonderful. There are interesting, new and unique flavours to be found here. This is such a playful beer. Great fun. Tasty, well made and fascinating. [4.5]

WOW! this is the proper stuff. 500ml bottle from Asda, High Wycombe. Aroma is fruity, citric and maybe a little sweetness. Flavour is wonderfully hoppy, yet not really bitter, citrus fruit and some hints of tobacco. In the background is some sweet malt with hints of biscuit. Soft til the end! For a non BC, lowish ABV beer this is damn good. A fresh cask of this would be immense!! The next CVBGE?

Very nice Indeed, bought from local Asda. Golden amber colour . Fizzy looking at first, and head fades. Not too dry but nice and hoppy, mmmm biscuits and tofee with a lovely full malty mouthfeel. Fruits sparkle against roof of mouth, bitter hop come to the fore when swallowed, then a late kick back of the citrus fruits shimmer and fade on the tongue.very drinkable.Really moreish.

Bottle from Asda, Toryglen, Glasgow (not all asdas in Scotland carry this). God its good stuff. Golden copper colour. Huge aroma of american style hops, with citrus and peach notes. Good mouthfeel and condition. Long bitter complex hoppy finish. As we can’t get many good american beers over here Asda should make a point of continuing this - its nearly always sold out.

Damn! that’s a fine beer and no mistake!!! Softly malty, with a fantastic rounded hop character. The finish goes on for ages. This not only looks superb, with its clean gold body and the firm white head, but it tastes superb too! Asda Edinburgh.

Certainly not as bitter as normal IPA’s but a classic in the making. The rich aroma leads into a smooth hoppy mouthfeel with hints of malt. Thankfully the heavy bitterness that often spoils this style of beer is missing and the beer remains first class throughout.

Marvelous. My favourite British beer of recent years. Not sure if it’s BC but I don’t care. Extremely good either way. Let down by dull "Ye Olde" labelling.
