5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
This beer is a pinnacle of what a pilsner brewed in America can and should be. The hops are there in both taste and aroma. My favorite is when this beer is first tapped. It is so cloudy and full bodied that its a truly a treat. Save the money for a trip to the Czech republic, go here for the best pilsner you will find

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Das Bierhaus. Straw yellow pour that’s a touch hazy with a white head. Aroma of noble and grassy hops, grains and pale malt. Taste of sweet malt, burnt match, noble hops and finishes up a touch bitter.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewpub - Pours hazy gold with a foamy white head--loving the unfiltered murkiness. Smell is light breadiness with an herbal hop aroma and a light honey sweetness. Taste is all barley, bread, and yeast up front, finishing with a light herbal grassiness. Maybe a bit too much grain, and feels a bit heavier than I’d like. However, this beer has a decent amount of heft while still being very drinkable. I feel like this beer would get better and better the more I’d have of it.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: SEP 14, 2010 Got a fresh glass at the Brewpub. Crisp malt body with moderate carbonation and solid hop bitterness. Lingering taste of aroma hops in the finish. Very authentic German Pils, like the little village breweries still make. Seems a bit high in alcohol, though. Nevertheless, one of the best that I have ever had.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
First a sampler than a full pour in a large ass footed pilsner glass. It is a completely full thick golden color, cannot see through it. Has a firm thick head on top. As the head fades a thick insulation-like foam sticks around and covers the surface. A pretty damn attractive beer. Aroma is a very thick lacto/milky-like maltiness and not just the standard white bread maltiness; thick, strong, original, and interesting. The flavor is similar but it is balanced by some zing from the hops. Has a long sweet, non-sugary aftertaste with a hint of non-citric lemon. It is very easy drinking despite having a thick, full body. It is a "big" pils without being the Americanized version of "big." I would go out of my way to drink this again.

Growler via Mys Swap 4 (thanks skyview!!).
Pours a hazy amber with a nice large white head. Nose is earthy/spicy. Taste is biscuits, grass, toast, mild fruit. Body is medium, carbonation is perfect. This is very very very tasty. I could drink this all day every day. Mmmmmmmmm, i am speechless. The flavors meld together perfectly. Tis a master brewer who can make a Pils that is so far above the rest.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
I find myself enjoying this style more and more, ecspecially when it’s a well made pils. Clear golden, thin white top. Grain and slight corn on the nose- this time thta doesn’t turn me off. Taste has the grassiness and firm astringent hop character that i expected. But well balanced, not too grainy. Just right. Slightly dry.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear lemon yellow with thin white head. Aroma is citrus yeast with bitter earthy notes. Flavor is earthy lemon. The tart lemon notes are offset by very dry notes. Body is light with high carbonation.
