COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This black liquorice beer will treat the beer amateurs. The idea of the liquorice beer was born from the meeting with another beverage firm, in the region since 1898 : Antésite. The liquorice savour has found an echo with Vincent’s wish to create a black charismatic beer. It seems the intuition was good : the recipe was found from the first test. Brewed with some roasted malt and the root of the liquorice from Anthesite, its flavour will amaze you.

Near-black sepia with a thin eggshell head. Nose is old roast and light citrus fun, maybe some light lactose in there. Flavor is softer and better, orange and vanilla citrus underpinning a faintly roasted malt that is silky cream. Really silky body, but the finish is too short. Enjoyable, arguably unique, but neither ground-breaking or mind-blowing. More like a nice beer for a nice Tuesday evening.

Cremig, etwas schokoladig. Überzeugend! Test vom 23.7.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,12,11,11,10,12 - 11,40

Murky very dark brown body. Sweetish nice malty nose with some coffee and licorice. The taste carries on, building a layer of licorice on a solid light slightly coffeeish malty body. Better than I thought it would be!

Dark brown opaque stout. Semi dry palate. Light stout! A little bit of roasty malt. A little fruity chocolate as well. Pretty standard but decent enough.

Bottled. A red-brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of sweet and roasted malt as well as caramel. The flavor is sweet with ntoes of malt, caramel, straw, and roasted malt.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours a cloudy opaque dark brown. Hard roast nose. Medium body, sweet hard roast, some dark dried fruits and a whiff of licorice. Ends dry but with no real bitterness. Pleasant though. 200111
