| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 20, 2009 Bottled. A hazy golden beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty with quite strong notes of honey in a metallic way, but also giving it flowery notes. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of honey as well as notes of metal, leading to a dry metallic and bitter finish. The body is thin. Thanks fiulijn for sharing. Clover honey aroma with nice spicy melanodins in counterpoint. A bit bready and with a hint of noble hops and perhaps a little corriander also in the nose. Hazy dark mandarin orange with only some white dots and a white ring. The flavour is of a nice pale ale with toffee/caramel and plenty of floral hops mixed with fresh clover honey. Notes of rosewater and orange The honey flavour works very well in this beer, however it is just a touch too sweet, in my opinion--the bitterness doesn’t quite balance it. Medium body, moderate carbonation, sweet finish.
