2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bought a six x 25 cl pack at my local Casino. Very cheap at just over 2€/litre.
Wasn’t expecting much so wasn’t dissaponited!
It comes quite close to Leffe but ther’s a little soapy taste at the en that lets it down.Otherwise not too bad as industrial Abbety type beers go. Ideal when you a bit hard up at the end of the month.

pours clear golden colour with a big white head and some lacing. aroma malts, caramel, butter. quite sweet and a bit artificial flavour: yeast, vegetables, corn, caramel. low carbonation. 6.2% alcohol is hidden somewhat, which is a small (only?) plus I guess.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
25cl bottle, bought in Ax-les-Thermes (France). Modest lager with a great appearance: white rocky foam and golden liquid. Very subtle malt scent. The taste is rather weak, with a flat bitterness and low sweetness. A nonetheless pleasant medium carbonation adds to the taste. The finish is short.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
25 cl bottle, bought in Ax-Les-Thermes, drank @ home. Dark yellow appearance with good white head. Malty aroma with slightly bitter taste, although refreshing. Nothing special, reminds me of an ordinary pils.

50ml can in Vedène. Funny story to this. I was forced to drink this beer in the morning, putting on hold our day trip, as the can fell on a stone and a small hole was born leaking the beer.
Clear blond colored beer with almost no head and no carbonation. Malty metallic aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is rather sweet herby ending slight bitter.

Ok but lacks complexity and it really aimed at the mass market. Quite drinkable but can get a bit mundane.

25cl bottle. Another boring French blonde. Just a refreshing beer, nothing more.

I enjoyed this beer quite a bit. It’s clean and simple for a French supermarket Belgian, lacks the nail varnish phenolics that some have, whilst still retaining a pleasant degree of alcohol and spice. It’s highly carbonated but with tiny bubbles, and great head retention.

Boks 0,5l fra Spar-butikk, Nice. Drukket 12 Okt 12. Delt med blomsterpotta. Lys gylden med et ok tett skum som varer noen minutter. Legger seg lagvis på glasset. Søt, fruktig aroma med litt malt. Smaken er mørk frukt. Lite annet. Veldig søtt helhetsinntrykk.
