On draught during the Autumn Brew Review 2009 in Minneapolis, MN. Pours a hazy amber colored brew with a creamy off-white head that has some nice retention and lacing. Aroma of honey, caramel, a hint of brown sugar, and smoked peat. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of caramel, burnt honey, some smoked peat (plastic bandage) and a hint of brown sugar. Finish is semi-sweet, a touch of smokiness, with some mild flowery bitterness that slowly disappears. A little tame for an IPA but it is the only Dave’s Brew Farm with any bitterness in the finish.

Draught at the 2009 ABR. Sweet aroma, malt and honey. Some smoke in both the aroma and the flavor. Moderate hops, and a medium palate. I really like the aroma with the hops, malt, and honey.
