COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after Spain’s famed “goat killing” northerly wind, this tempestuous brew has a maelstrom of flavors swirling within it. Robust American hops and rye make this deep, dark ale an experience to savor. Sand Creek version (bottled) is 8.0% ABV, BrewFarm Version is 9.6% ABV

12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy rusty copper with a small beige head. Lots of sediment floating all over. Aroma of rye, bread, malt and grains. Taste of mild fruit, light rye, malt and grains. A bit on the watery side.

This was quite good and a good discovery. Not incredibly dark, but a nice rich brown hue. A number of layers of woody, caramel, chewy fruit notes, in a sort of winter ale concoction. Decent palate and mostly remarkable for its yummy flavors. Very drinkable and delicious. Bottle.

Had from Capone’s. Bottle poured a dark copper. Not much head. Nice sediment. Aroma is sweet hops and the flavor pulls in a big rye and wonderful hops. Great brew

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of grain, slight cinnamon, pumpernickel, fruit, slight hops, malt, light caramel, light rye, and some alcohol. Poured orange in color with a medium-sized, loose, off-white/oatmeal head that diminished but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Very sparkling. Full of tiny particles throughout. Very good lacing. Flavor is medium to heavily sweet and light to medium bitter. Tastes of malt, rye, grains, slight hops, slight caramel, dark bread, and a hint of alcohol. Medium body. Average texture. Soft to average carbonation. Malt, rye, caramel, grain and fruit finish. 8%ABV is slightly noticeable in the aroma and flavor.

12oz bottle pours brown/amber no head some bubbles sediment. Aroma is fruits (grapes), rye, caramel, sugar. Taste hits hard of pepper and vanilla, yeast, rye, and molasses. Warm alcohol with medium body a little syrupy.

Bottle from Capone’s. Pours turbid copper w 2f ow head and a great look. Nose is grainy caramel malt, earthy hops, cacao, and pumpernickel. Tastes rich, caramel malty, with some hopcitrus, dark fruit, and rye cacao notes. A unique and enjoyable cherry popper from BrewFarm.

Copper color with a quickly falling medium head. Aroma of rye, caramel and biscuit. Light butter. Earthy hops. Flavor is quite similar: bready, biscuit, rye and spiciness. Very light buttery taste, but not a slick feeling. Dry finish.

Small, yellowish head, soon gone over hazy orange-amber beer, with slow but present carbonation. End of bottle full of mini-UFO’s. Solvent (volatile), unripe grapes, garden herbs and orangepeel aromas. More orangezeste, bitterish-sweet. Impression of aromahops, but a bit (too) discreet. Hard cakes and a bit of toffeeflavour, if certainly not syrupy nor too sweet. Warming up, one can really taste the rye. Bit sharpish, bit burning MF; medium bodied, very slick like other grains feel. Not that curious, but certainly far from bad. Might benefit from a tad more generous hoppresence. I hope that David did trademark the name, as with the present alerevolution in the north of Spain, somebody is bound to come with the same idea...
