COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An easy-drinkin’, golden all-malt lager. Brewed with six-row and specialty malts and hopped with Cluster and Perele to give it a smooth crisp flavor, with just a hint of malt sweetness. Select Golden Lager is brewed at both Steven Point Brewery and Dave’s BrewFarm locations.

BrewFarm Select Golden Lager, All-Malt, 12 oz. can Disembarks the can and boards the glass with hefty head holding firm on top, lacey and white, clear and golden-hued below. Light, malty nose, cereal husk, with a little honey-ish sweetness. Lean and clean. Taste: malt and water. Very clean, light, and just enough flavor from the malt, with a tidy little blast of hops, to keep it interesting. Incredibly easy to drink, with appreciable flavor. Quality lager, all the way. I’m not typically a lager guy, but this is top-notch. Almost perfect.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear golden color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Medium balancecd aroma. Light to medium body with a thin smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium balanced sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of short to moderate duration. Soft drinkable beer.

Can. Pours a clear deep gold with a white head that dissipates nearly completely to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of malts with notes of bread and wet grain with a hint of backing crisp hops. Flavor is mainly wet bread/grain with just a bit of hop presence. Nothing special.

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2011 Nice malt on the tongue. Slightly sweet. Light and bubbly. Balanced flavor. A very pleasant lager overall.

Can, thanks tytoanderso. Nose is corny and sweet, a little plastic/rubber. Flavor is sweet and with some very mild hop bitterness. More flavor than most shitty pale lagers, but still pretty shitty.

Nice pour for a lager, slightly hazy with a decent head that fades after a few. Smell is just plain clean, perhaps a slight olfactory of high gravity. Oooh, quite strong personality for a lager, reminds me a bit of that pig’s eye I just rated. Yes, comes across more like a high gravity pale lager brew in flavor. Difficult at times. Same with finish.

This was a really nice beer. Grainy, grassy with a spicyness that reminded me of Dales Pale Ale, just lighter but not thin. Very Pleasant.

Purchased at Breeze Thru Liquors in Milwaukee, WI; enjoyed after a long run on the hottest day of the summer so far, figured this would be good weather for a nice lager. Appearance a golden lager with little yeasties and visible carbonation that bubbles to the top, also a white ring around the glass. Aroma mostly malty, not really watered down but they don’t jump out at you, maybe the most prevalent of malts I’ve seen in a lager. Taste is surprisingly unique. It’s very malty for a lager, but there is almost like a dark fruit finish. This stuff is pretty good, I would definitely pick this over any mass produced lager any day.

Can. Pour is clear yellow with white head. Aroma of grassy notes, corn, bready malt and citrus. Flavor of the same, dry and crisp but pushing thin. Not complex, but an easily drinkable.
