COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An easy-drinkin’, golden all-malt lager. Brewed with six-row and specialty malts and hopped with Cluster and Perele to give it a smooth crisp flavor, with just a hint of malt sweetness. Select Golden Lager is brewed at both Steven Point Brewery and Dave’s BrewFarm locations.

Like a Point Special but replace the corn with malt. Brewfarm select is perhaps unnecessary, but it is pleasant.

Pours nice golden color with light carb throughout. Enjoyable flavor for its style, little aroma, but a good clean finish. Not the best, but got it at a super good value (under 1$ per can) so cant complain. A local beer with good intentions, for the price, has a decent re-buy appeal

A nice pale lager. Definitely better than the other crap that’s out there in this category. Aroma was a little thin. Light pilsner malt with not much else going on. Pour was a nice medium gold with a huge 3 finger white head. Taste was sweet but crisp. Light malt with a little DMS and an off corn flavor (which I know the beer is all malt so that makes it weirder). Nice and crisp with heavy carbonation and no aftertaste. Would be great in the summer on the deck.

12oz can courtesy of Buebie. Pours a clear straw with a big frothy white head that recedes to a thin cap and leaves spotty lacing. Aroma is sweet with caramel malts and corn syrup (not in a bad way). There are some toasted grains and hints of lemony hops as well. The taste starts out with a crisp lemon zest kick before the bready malts and sweet cereal grains take over. The finish is slightly dry with lemons and toast. Mouthfeel is clean, crisp and dry, extremely good for the style. Definitely one of the better pale lagers I’ve ever tasted. Flavorful for the style and very drinkable.

Pours a lightly hazy golden with orange notes and a medium creamy white head that laced. Aroma of grassy notes, corn, bready malt and citrus. Flavor of the same, dry and crisp but pushing thin. Too much like a macro lager for me. Nothing to help set it apart.

Golden color out of the can with a fizzy white head. Nose of yeasty dough with some citrus. This is a sweet beer with thick honey, some corn, pepper spice, buscuit and lemon citrus in the finish. Tingely on the tongue. Not bad.

Can. Pours a gorgeous clear glowing copper with a thick frothy white sudsy sticky head. Aroma is sweet, candy-corn like, lightly buttery. Flavor follows, rich candy corn, bit fruity, touch of warming alcohol, sweet with a funky grassy finish, rich candy corn kick.

Can from Pinnochio’s in Appearance not a strong quality - looks like a corona. The aroma is super yeasty. Taste is solid - hops and sweet malt. Very enjoyable beer.

Yellow-golden, clear beer with a very even formed, medium, just yellowish tinted head. Faint sweet, sweet-spiced (coriander??) nose, pale malts and some honey. Much drier taste, bit metallic, but ending in a rather dull malty finish, contrasting with the hoppy(ier) onset of every sip. Quite slick, light to medium bodied; metallic thing hangs on in the aftertaste. Ubiquitous lager. Not the thing what I expect from Dave’s BrewFarm.

Poured with a nice foamy, frothy off white head that lasts a little while and a little lace. Color is a clear amber. Aroma is fresh beer, malt, a little hop, fresh baked white bread, cereal, and a little fresh mown grass. Flavor is like aroma and a little on the sweet side. Decent body and carbonation. Short finish like flavor. Inoffensive and mostly forgettable. Prefer the crisper pale lagers, m’self.
