COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An easy-drinkiní, golden all-malt lager. Brewed with six-row and specialty malts and hopped with Cluster and Perele to give it a smooth crisp flavor, with just a hint of malt sweetness. Select Golden Lager is brewed at both Steven Point Brewery and Daveís BrewFarm locations.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Stevens Point version: The first packaged beer from Daveís Brew Farm arrives in Minnesota. Picked up a 12-pack at Zipps in Minneapolis, MN. Pours a clear golden amber colored brew with a decent white head that has some nice retention and leaves behind a pillowy foam head. Some spotty lacing too. Aroma of golden grain malt, a hint of apple, some floral and spice hops and a touch of white bread. Taste is medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Flavors include some light apple, golden grain malt, a hint of allspice and some light Mozzarella. Why do all of the sudden have a craving for a Chicago style pizza? Finish is quite balanced with maybe a notch towards the sweet side. Mild bitterness at first and then a smooth aftertaste. Not your typical average macro-made lager and definitely not a lawn-mower beer. I can see this lager satisfy both the craft beer and lager drinking crowd.

Can from tyler: pours beautiful golden color crystal clear with a large white head that lasts. Aroma is very nice full of sweetness from the pilsen malt, very clean great hop aroma for style, get some honey like aroma also. Slight crisp fruit but not yeast dirived, maybe hops. Flabor is full and clean with a slight sweetness, good hop flavor bit could use more bittering. Very easy to drink and would love a case. Needs to be a lottle dryer in finish.

Thanks to Exiled for sharing this can. The beer pours a clear yellow color with a white head. The aroma is very fruity with some citrus and pineapple. The flavor is a mix of pears, oranges and apricots. The beer is very juicy tasting. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Definitely the best pale lager I have ever tried.

Live rate. An overweight, black cat is staring at me. The anger in her eyes is palpable. Iím drinking this straight from the can, as one should when their water has been turned off after not paying the bill for five months. The fat, black cat is still staring at me. I can feel her anger. Maybe she wants to be fed? Thankfully a thin pane of glass stands between her and I, and makes me feel safe from harm. As for the beer, it is damn good. If you want a great pale lager I canít recommend this more. #shouldhavetickedthis #rateresponsibly

Can. Clear yellow pour, quickly dissipating carbonation and a light caramel and malt aroma. Flavor starts is mostly sweet malts and slightly fruity and lingering on the finish. Not bad, would be a good summer beer.

Thanks to Solan and Mcbackus. Solid pale lager with crisp flavors and nothing skunky or offensive about it. Light, easy drinking and still full flavored. Solid, for what its worth.

(can shared by MatSciGuy) Pours a clear light gold with a thin white head. Aroma has some light pear, is floral, and possesses some must as well. Flavor is fruity (which ones I canít identify) faintly grassy, light caramel and a mineral component as well. Mouthfeel is medium and carbonation is appropriate. A simple beer that would be great to drink in the summer.

This was a really nice beer. Grainy, grassy with a spicyness that reminded me of Dales Pale Ale, just lighter but not thin. Very Pleasant.

BrewFarm Select Golden Lager, All-Malt, 12 oz. can Disembarks the can and boards the glass with hefty head holding firm on top, lacey and white, clear and golden-hued below. Light, malty nose, cereal husk, with a little honey-ish sweetness. Lean and clean. Taste: malt and water. Very clean, light, and just enough flavor from the malt, with a tidy little blast of hops, to keep it interesting. Incredibly easy to drink, with appreciable flavor. Quality lager, all the way. Iím not typically a lager guy, but this is top-notch. Almost perfect.

My last can, damn Iím going to miss this stuff. Normally Iíd be drinking it straight from the can but today I pour. Color is a bright golden with a small white head. Aroma of faint hops, honey, slight fruits, and malt. Taste is clean, grains, honey, nice hop presence, and sweet bready malts. Clean and refreshing.
