COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Talisman (German for welcome) - a German ale yeast that kicked off a huge amount of pineapple esters initially - it’s mellowed a bit, more tropical fruit

On draught during the Autumn Brew Review 2009 in Minneapolis, MN. Pours a hazy straw colored brew with a creamy white head that has some nice retention and excellent lacing. Aroma of vanilla, a hint of banana, tropical fruits, some flowery hops, and a hint of cream tartar. Taste is medium to full bodied, smooth with flavors of some tropical fruit, banana esters, yeast and a touch of vanilla. Finish is semi-sweet with a slow dissolving tropical fruit and vanilla aftertaste. Definitely more body than a Golden Ale, but closer to a Dortmunder/Helles. Lots of personality in this beer.
