BuckeyeBoy (1129), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 4, 2008 At Oregon Brewers Festival 2008 Pours out a ligth yellow topped with a tall white head. Aroma of malts and corn. Not something I would drink all the time. Like the description said maybe on a "Hot Arizona Summer" day Angeloregon (1867), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 28, 2008 On tap at the OBF 2008--Poured a pale golden body with a sharp, sweet creamy nose. Adjuncts? Sure seemed like it. Highly sessionable. Not very memorable. wetherel (995), Carlsbad, California, USA May 8, 2008 Bonus from cbkshubert a while back sitting in my frig. Pop the cap to smell classic lager hops. I want to say Saaz, but the aroma faded so quickly, I couldn’t get a second whiff. Very light aroma. Some malt. Some corn. Little head that fades so fast, I don’t know if there ever was one. Pale amber color would be OK for a mead, but too light here.Flavor is watery. miketd (337), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Mar 12, 2008 I think this was an extra from cbkschubert...thanks! Pour is a cloudy orange with virtually no head. Aroma is sweet, biscut and grainy. Flavor is pretty much what you would expect...dry and malty. Not bad. I like a good lager at times. Gregis (904), Overland Park, Kansas, USA Feb 28, 2008 Updated: Mar 5, 2008Pours a hazy straw with a fluffy white head. It looks more like a wheat than a pale/premium lager. Nice lacing. Once the head settles, there is very little on the nose: just sweet malt and yeasty, bread dough notes. Light-bodied with a soft graininess and a mildly sour finish. The flavor profile is certainly different from and better than a typical macro lager: sweet, grainy malt, a lightly sour citrus note, sourdough and a touch of metal at the finish. While I generally dislike beers that display any metallic notes, this brew is quite drinkable and a solid example of the style. If you’re in AZ and looking for a thirst quencher, to cut the heat, you could do a lot worse.
