Aroma of musty old bar. Gold color for body with white disipating head. Flavor was kind of bitter and stale. Drank it all so can’t be all that bad. Will have to pick another one up sometime and rerate.

I had this at the Great Arizona Beer Festival in Phoenix. A pretty nice lager.

Light gold color. Small white head. Aroma is malty, fruity, with a touch of wood. A medium bodied lager. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are fairly bitter and grapefruity. This beer is more of an ESB or a pale ale than a lager. Nicely balanced. Smooth taste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - JUL 26, 2004
On tap at the Oregon Brewers Festival 04. Pours a medium orange with a small white head. Decent smelling citrus hop aroma. Taste starts malty but quickly fades into a moderate bitterness ending with a nice hop taste left over. Very crisp and dry.

Hazy hellow-orange with a nice poofy head. Musty nose. Lightly spicy with a hint of fruit-rind bitterness. Not bad. Guess I got a good batch.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 FlacoAlto (3153) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - AUG 25, 2003
Unfortunately this beer is quite variable. At its best it is a good example of the American macro beer. Clean, crisp, golden, and with a mellow hop bite. Basically has a bit of flavor where your standard American lager has none. The last one of these that I had was quite hazy was extremely fruity and nothing like a lager what so ever. It was pretty clearly infected with globs of bacterial growth, yum. So watch out for this one.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Gusler (2654) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - SEP 9, 2002
Clear gold in color, the head is frothy and white, with decent lace. Nose is malt, the top is light, the finish is quite dry, mildly hopped, moderately carbonated, crisp and clean. Good beer as i said for a ’Hot Summer Day’, but as ’Lagers/Pils’ go, average, but drinkable for the non-dark lovers, or those who have ’NO’ palate at all. Ranks #970 on my current 1000 beer master list.
