On tap at the brewpub. Pours a deep caramel ruby brown with a thin white head. Sweet malt, fruit, cocoa, roast and chocolate. Fruity esters, light sweetness, earthy toast and roast. Bitterness shows up, along with roast, and cocoa. Long bitterness and very faint alcohol on the finish.

Everything about this beer was painfully below average. The aroma and palate were bland and featured a malty, almost metallic taste. The mouth feel was flat and unexciting. I was surprised to find this was their "Anniversary" ale, which would have suggested something special. This beer was anything but.

Had this at Irish Times in Saratoga Springs, NY on tap. Pours nice amber/deep brown with a light tan head. Malty sweetness with some roast, fruit, burnt biscuit, and cocoa. ABV is apparent, but not overwhelming. Very enjoyable.

Pours a deep brown, thin tan head. Taste is malty and very sweet with notes of fruit as well. Goes down relatively smooth with a decent bite on the end. Very good.
