tiggmtl (4179), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Apr 25, 2004 Updated: Apr 27, 2004Fresh, malty, sweet aroma. Copper brown body with medium off-white head that diminishes to cover. Nicely balanced towards malt without being overly sweet. Good malty palate and creamy mouthfeel. On tap at the brewery. mhfalcon (2), Denver, Colorado, USA does not count Dec 9, 2004 Pours with a good head and earthy, nutty nose. First hit on the tongue is creamy and full-flavored, but taste trails off at the end, leaving a watery aftertaste. Color is a rich brown. Above average, but lack of aftertaste keeps it from being a top brew. notalush (2078), Rawn-kawn-kohma, New York, USA Sep 20, 2003 After two bad experiences with their beer, I was pleasantly surprised by this one - it's quite a tasty brown ale - aroma is nutty and malty - flavor has a good dose of malt, with grainy, bready flavors, a small amount of chocolate - a bit of hops in the finish balance it well - a well-rounded ale. frylock (952), Buffalo, New York, USA Nov 25, 2003 Bottle. Clear light brown color with a small white head. Aroma is malty and nutty. Taste has a slightly smokey malt flavor with some nutiness in the background. Decent brown ale. Ringwood yeast is evident. spkldhenlvr24 (369), Newburgh/Buffalo, New York, USA Dec 24, 2004 Pretty good average brown. Pours a deep amber, reddish brown body with a thin, quick beige head. Good sweet caramel, raisins aroma. Slight hoppy, nutty scents. Thin, watery mouthfeel. Decent roasted malt flavor. Not a bad brown ale from a small brewery.
