Rastacouere (5409), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 12, 2004 Good at what it is: an honest rendition of the style without defaults nor stand outs. Fairly mild, but still packing a decent roastiness like burnt chocolate, an almost black body, the typical nitro appearance and obvious oats while having a creamy medium body. Lovers of the style will certainly appreciate this. muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Feb 2, 2003 Excellently balanced, sweet-at the start, bitter-at-the finish oaty stout; some nice wine qualities and hints of raisin, and a smoothness and luscious mouthfeel that continues even into the harder-than-expected finish. Well above average. MartinT (4377), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Apr 29, 2004 Nuts playing with efficient roasted bitterness...Dark chocolate undertones in a well-fed body...Nothing to reinvent the wheel, but simply a very good stout on all levels... tiggmtl (4179), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Apr 25, 2004 Updated: Apr 27, 2004Coffee, roasted malt, dark chocolate aromas.
