This one looks like an appetizing stout, with a dark brown body, and a fluffy white head. Great semi-sweet chocolate aroma, with hints of vanilla. Chewy mouthfeel, and a little bit of sweetness in the flavor is a great tease. Very creamy.

Had this one on draught in Glens Falls, New York. Deep black, nearly opaque color with a thick, brown head, nose of coffee, very complex taste with notes of apricot, bitter chocolate, and amaretto with a very soft finish. An outstanding sweet stout.

Malts rôtis, café, alcool, fruits des champs. Longue en bouche avec une mousse crémeuse. J’ai bien aimé.

Growler. Pours dark red, dark brown in the glass, with a small tan head. Aromas of coffee, raisin, chocolate and some cherry, and mildly tart fruit. The flavor is slightly bitter cocoa and earthy bitterness, sweet chocolate, and mocha. Creamy, with low carbonation and a dry finish. Pretty good. [818]

Roasted malts; leathery taste. Soft caramel notes in flavor and even more in the aroma. Silky feel, velvety. Soft tobacco notes. A hella dry beer with a nice soft finish.

Almost black, little hazy, off-white dense head. Roasted malt with some sweetness in the nose. Roasty and burnt, more robust than their porter. Hint of oiliness in palate.

Served a deep dark brown with a hint of ruby. A Lasting tight head graces the top of the sampler glass. To the nose it is sweet chocolate, the olfactory equivalent of a tootsie roll. Smooth and light on the tongue, this beer quickly wins me over with its subtle maltiness and subdued hops. An easy choice for a winter session beer. Has a pleasant roasty character without the burnt or bitter notes characteristic of some other examples of the style. On tap at the brewpub in Glens Falls.

I really liked this one. Pours a deep brown with a medium tan head to it. Taste is very malty - chocolate, cocoa. Finishes smooth and dry. Pretty thick. Very good stout.

Poured dark. Brown head, bubbly and fast dissipating. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, and malt. Flavor of chocolate milk, with a sweet caramel center, but the end tasted like metal. Thin bodied. Again, I simply left it in the growler to long. I could sense a fantastic beer, so I will have to somehow acquire more of this.

Draught poured as part of sampler at the brewpub. Poured black with a thick off white head. Malty richness in the flavor with caramel notes. Thick, creamy head with a solid bodied beer. Significant contrast to the other brews at this brewery.
