Poured dark. Brown head, bubbly and fast dissipating. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, and malt. Flavor of chocolate milk, with a sweet caramel center, but the end tasted like metal. Thin bodied. Again, I simply left it in the growler to long. I could sense a fantastic beer, so I will have to somehow acquire more of this.

Nov 1, 2007 Pours a black color with brown highlights and a thin, light brown head. Average aroma and flavor of chocolate and roasted malt. The body is light to medium with soft carbonation.

Jul 23, 2007 Black body with a long-lasting medium tan head. Roasted nose. Taste has a lot of roasted grainy malts followed by a medium amount grassy hops and a light citric touch. Not much to report in terms of chocolate/coffee/fruity flavours. The floury yeast and the roastiness blend together and leave a somewhat dry impression. Pleasant average generic brewpub stout. Incidentally the brewpub also makes a truly amazing stout-cheddar soup. The cheese probably has most to do with it.

Aug 23, 2006 on tap-pours a tan head with black color. Aroma is dark malt. Taste is dark malt, somewhat sweet-caramel, oatmeal. Medium body.

Oct 6, 2005 On tap at the brewpub with a 5oz sample. Aroma is chocolatey and mildly smoked and milky. A bit of peatiness is also present. Very nice aroma. Moderately-mostly opaque dark brown/black color with a light tan head. Dark chocolatey smooth bitter finish. Nice mouthfeel with a bit of coffee. A very nice stout.
