From Growler. Poured dark brown. No head. Aroma of chocolate, and malt. Taste is coffeeish, with chocolate hints, slightly smokey, but not much. Some hints of vanilla. Thin bodied, hardly any carbonation. Starting to get oxidized, but it was my fault, but not too much to be noticed.

Nov 1, 2007 Clear brown pour with a medium, creamy, tan head. Aroma and flavor of weak smoked and roasted malt, a bland and boring smoked porter, oh well... The body is light and waterty.

Jul 23, 2007 Dark brown body with a long-lasting large off-white head. Almost no smoke on the nose and very light smoke in the taste. Light roastiness, light chocolate, light body, light grassy hops, light black coffee, light everything. Borderline watery. as boring as a Soviet documentary.

Aug 27, 2006 29.04.06 Tap at TAPNY. Of course I was excited to be sampling a new smoked beer, but this one was a major let down. Smoke was not at all prominent, to the degree that calling it smoked makes no sense at all. The palate was unfortunately thin, even for a porter, and there was a strong diacetyl presence throughout. Not good.

Aug 23, 2006 on tap-pours a light tan head with brown color. Aroma is coffee, malt. Taste is smoky malt, coffee, medium body. Minimal carbonation.
