Dark, sweet fruits and malt with roasted coffee tones and heather. An ambitious recreation of a Medieval English ‘Gruit’ ale; as brewed before hops were widely used. The herbs do the same job of bittering and preserving. A in the Dark Ages a wide variety of malts are blended; some 12 different grains! What’s in it?
