COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION A dark reddish-black porter that draws you in with a tempting aroma combining roast malt with classic English hops. Some initial sweetness gives way to a mouthful of berry fruit and roast malt flavours and a well-rounded bitter finish. An approachable, not too heavy Porter. The name harks back to the history of coal mining in the area around the brewery. You can see the remnants old Pit Head buildings from the brewery approach. What’s in it?
