COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Special.
Six different malts, three hop varieties by the bucketload; this is one heck of a beer! Designed and brewed by Ned as a radical departure from the norm. A full-bodied and near-black beer with roasted malts, chocolate tones yet aromatic and a Scorpion’s sting of hoppiness.

What’s in it?
Maris Otter, Amber, Mild Ale, High Colour Crystal, Chocolate and Black Malt from Warminster Maltings.
Challenger, Galena and Cascade whole hops from Charles Faram of Malvern.
Hopped three times, including dry hopping.
Burtonised water, yeast, finings

Cask handpull at Southampton Arms. Black as hell. Nice thick black choccy impy stout. I liked it. Nice choc.

A Mes rate. Cask at the Southampton.
Solid black with and impressive tan head. I tell yer whut, this a good beer. Rich chocolate malt, some toffee, plenty of bitterness from the chocolate, plenty more from the generous hoppage. Nice and inky, good rubbery notes and just a lick of alcohol. Dry finish. It’s got the lot. A proper drop of English with a twist. Excellent.

Cask conditioned at the Hillgrove Porter Stores, Bristol 7/8/10. Opaque, jet black with a moderate tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, mandarins and a touch of lemon, with some toasted malts in the background. Flavour of black coffee and chocolate orange, with more citrus hop character and roasted, dry finish accompanied by a touch of warming alcohol. Very good.
