Smooth, creamy dark ale. Well-balanced with tones of roasted barley, coffee and dark fruits with a rounded, velvety palate and dryish finish. What’s in it? Pale Ale, Chocolate, Wheat, Crystal, Roasted Barley Malts from Warminster Maltings. Fuggles, Pilgrim, Target whole hops from Charles Faram of Malvern Burtonised water, yeast, finings

Cask-conditioned at the Portcullis, Clifton, Bristol 20/04/2011. Near black in colour with a tight, off-white head. Big, plain chocolate aroma with some roastiness. Flavour had plenty more chocolate, hints of blackcurrant and coffee and a dryish finish. Drinkable.
