Drak gold colour, very boring beer, not even very bitter.

Didn’t realise 3.5% was considered to be "full strength". Sweet cardboard nose, and pours a dark amber. For the price this beer is better than a lot of others out there, but definitely a working mans beer.

It’s a bitter version of export which makes it slightly better or bitter. Also rarely avalible now ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. I recently rated Southern Draught (another NZ dark lager) and said that "among its peers, not bad". Well, this beer is one of its peers, and it actually makes me think I may have UNDER-RATED Southern Draught! There isn’t any of the toastiness that made SD somewhat palatable. Instead there is a weak caramel and apple flavour, marred by a slightly stinky wet-dishragginess. This is truly poor by any standard.

Bottled. A dark golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, while the flavor is sweet and mainly malty with a bitter finish. The body is thin. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

This beer is watery and lacks any real character, but that also means it’s taste has no real unpleasant aspects so it is drinkable. It’s also cheap, so it is not bad for its price.

(Can 33 cl) Clear, amber golden with a small, off-white head. Sweetish aroma of fruit bubble gum. Thin - very thin - body with lightly sweet caramel notes and basically nothing else. And especially no bitterness. Classic Kiwi swill. 110208
