1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 beerledgend (1050) - Waterloo, Wellington, - MAY 13, 2007
Can.
Malt biscuit aroma, dark orange in colour with thin white head, that dissapeared quickly. Sweet malt caramel flavour.
Not bad but not good either.

It’s bad but not "that" bad... prefer this to both ranfurley and waikato I think.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Ungstrup (23961) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - MAR 28, 2011
Draft in a pitcher. A brown beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of nuts, malt, metal, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of nuts, caramel, malt, and metal, leading to a dry finish.

At roughly $1 NZ (around 20 cents US) for a 330ml 4% tin you can get drunk without blowing your benefit. Also comes in 440ml 6 packs for when you’re really on the skids. Tastes a bit crap so drink it as fast as possible.

Pours amber, white head. Aroma is sweet, malty. Taste much the same. One dimensional, boring. Clean finish.

Pours a clear light brown with a frothy diminishing head. Light sweetness and bitterness. Malty aromas of caramel. Hint of citric hopsaromas. Light bodied. Thin mouthfeel. Average carbonation. Dry finish.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Plimmer (251) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 19, 2008
Can 33cl. Dark amber clear body with medium size white head. Sweet caramel in the nose. Very neutral flavour with a sweet aftertaste.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Papsoe (22987) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 8, 2008
(Can 33 cl) Clear, amber golden with a small, off-white head. Light aroma of caramel and brewing cereal. Thin and watery body with only minimal flavours, a little caramel and a little cardboard. The finish is a little sweet. I remember this as one of my favourites when I was last in New Zealand 20 years ago. Oh dear. A lot has happened since then - probably both with Double Brown and with my palate. 290108

This must be one of the worst beers on the New Zealand market. I suggest you only drink it if there is no other beers left.

Absolute rubbish. Never will drink unless no beer is left other than this and I still probably won’t drink this. AVOID
