Bottled. A pale amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and lighter notes of nuts, leading to a dry and bitter finish. The body is light.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 beer4eternity (199) - Tauranga, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 3, 2010
330ml bottle. Clear copper-brown hue small white bubbly head quickly diminishing to a ring, minimal lacing. A plethora of mild mostly malty aromas - malt, caramel, golden syrup/treacle, hokey pokey/toffee, some corn. Taste is medium to heavy sweet, body is light to medium texture is thin oily and slightly creamy when swirled, mildly metallic, carbonation is soft, finish is short.
Having seen this around all my life and seen many people buy it by the crate I had to give it a try, instead of buying a 12 pack (doh!), a pint at the local pub would have been a better move, oh well you live and you learn. Forgettable.

2.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20 alepig666 (78) - Adelaide, AUSTRALIA - JUL 2, 2009
Aroma of malt, wheat and a disconcerting fart smell that thankfully disappeared after a minute or so. Taste of malt and caramel, bit of tangy bitterness and a weird sweet undertone that didn’t repel me despite my hatred of sweet beer. Description is probably repellant but I quite enjoyed it. Bitterish finish. Much better on offer out there but it beats the shit out of most Aussie macros.

Terrible on tap draught beer, falls flat, juicy fruit flavour, too sweet. Sickly.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2008 On Tap. VERY faint aroma. Poors a golden amber colour. Can’t comment on head size as keg pours a huge head. OK head retention. Simple two dimensional beer with slight hop aftertaste. Slightly better then CD but pretty bland.

Kiwi’s drink this stuff? I tried it a couple of years ago and spat out the first mouthful. Absolutely woeful. Decided to continue the session with some decent Pilsner.

Bottle in New Zealand. Amber beer with a strong head. The aroma is lightly roasted and the flavour is roasted and quite dry with hints of toffee. Overall a fairly average beer but OK.
