2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 DrunkenCumquat (86) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - SEP 10, 2005
Bottled. Pale golden colour, moderate head and few honey notes. Fairly dry finish, but not so much as Toohey’s Extra Dry or Carlton Dry - a tad sweeter too, and much less (though still some) wet carboard action.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 DuffMan (4427) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 25, 2005
Pale golden, clear, medium head. I wouldn’t go so far as calling this "foul", but it is pretty boring-- the same as all corn-adjunct, over-processed pale lagers on the market, only with the edition of a very dry finish. I wouldn’t choose to drink it again if an alternative were available, but I wouldn’t turn it down if the beerfridge was empty on a Friday night. This is my standard review for all "two-star-or-less" piss.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Muggus (193) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - AUG 9, 2004
Cheap and easy ’import’ you can get over here. Reminds me a bit of Tooheys Extra Dry, not that that’s a good thing. Dry light malt flavour, goes down like water, a bit skunkish when it gets warm. There are plenty of better beers in this cheap price bracket.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 bluevegie (2928) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUN 18, 2004
Clear golden colour with a compact white mainly lasting head. Light doughy malt aroma. Bland taste, dry, malt and not much else.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 madquacker (867) - Canberra ACT, AUSTRALIA - JUN 9, 2004
Geez this is dry. Would strip paint. Sucks in your face with each gulp. Not much else though/
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 mutant (854) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - DEC 19, 2003
Typical lager colour with almost no head that disappears quickly. Flavour starts awfully sweet (corn?). Finish is not particularly dry and has negligible bitterness. Well, you just have to rate everything that's new.
