(bottle) pours a clear golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of very sweet pale malts, corn and herbal hops, with some light spices and traces of roasted malts. flavour is the same, quite metallic and sweet, with some light notes of alcohol and cinnamon. medium to strong-bodied with average carbonation.

Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - MAY 30, 2011
Herber, etwas platter Antrunk. 9/7/8/7/8/7

pivnizub (7229) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - APR 11, 2010
Bottle: Golden to deep golden, big fluffy - very slowly collapsing - off-white head; moderate sweetish-grainy nose with a light alcoholic background; robust bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; solid bitter-sweet finish with a bisquity touch and some well hidden alcohol. Not so flavourful, but well made and crunchy.......

Soonah (1120) - Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA - SEP 23, 2009
From Koelschtrinker via trade. Poured mostly clear and dark gold in color. The head was short and white and the lacing minimal. The aroma was malty, lightly spicy and a bit sweet. The flavor was malty, metallic and had some light spice to it. Thin mouthfeel.

Bottle, 6.8%. Mild malty aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Small white head. The flavour is a little malty, has a hint of caramel. Slightly creamy, but also with a citric hint that seems out of place. Alcoholic, yes. More like a European Strong Lager.

Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, of-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, sweet malt, fruity, sugar, apple notes, light alcoholic. Flavor is moderate to heavy sugar sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090625]

MoritzF (7342) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAY 30, 2009
(33cl bottle) Clear, golden colour with a big and creamy, slightly off-white head. Sweet bready malty aroma with subtle notes of draff and honey, accompanied by spicy herbal hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied with a soft and creamy mouthfeel. Solid malty and bready taste with notes of biscuits with herbal hoppy accents, leading into an almost lasting finish with a good bitterness-sweetness ratio. Decent pale Bock, probably an alias of the Bosch Maibock (30.V.09).
