A Belgian golden strong ale in honor of our 100th batch as a brewery. A lighter body comes from pilsner and wheat malts while a traditional Belgian yeast lends a fruity but clean flavor profile.

Draft to taster in a flight at the brewpub from notes. Pours a hazy yellow gold color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have pale wheat malts, fruity notes, bubblegum, yeast, sweet, some spice character, decent enough.

Tap. Poured clear golden color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate malt, yeast and fruit aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Sample at The Ohio Taproom. Slightly hazy dark golden color with a medium off-white head that recedes quickly to a film. Spotty lacing. Aroma of fruit, malt and yeast. Medium to full body with flavors of earthy yeast, ripe fruit and malt. The finish is wheaty and spicy with a fruity yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

on tap @ Dayton Beer / Kettering OH --- Cloudy dirty straw color, rim head, cobwebs of lace. Taste is light malt with slightly sour citrus that turns a little bitter as it exits the palate. Not a lot of taste, not a big mouthfeel, not anything but a Belgian Lite that has a lot of alcohol. Needs work.

phaleslu (9415) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 26, 2014
Draft in a sampler at the brewpub. Pours a hazed pale gold with a white head that leaves tiny streaks of lace in the glass. Aroma of bubblegum, wheat, sweet dough, coriander, and vanilla. The flavor is sweet and malty, as well. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a malty mouthfeel. The 9.1% ABV is sneaky in this one.

b3shine (8181) - Indiana, USA - JAN 25, 2014
Draft to taster. Looks solid; a mostly transparent golden orange with white lacing. Smells of Belgian yeast and related spices. Tastes like it smells with notes of clove as well. Decent on the palate. Solid beer.

Capa (2762) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - NOV 24, 2012
Golden orange with white head and active carbonation. Aroma is sweet with candied sugar, yeast, a bit of sugars, and light bright fruits. Medium, bubbly body. Flavor could have used a bit more oomph, but what was there was tasty. Bright fruits, light yeast notes, candied sugars, and a bit spicy. Real nice offering for their 100th brew.
