An American-style brown ale that combines toasted and biscuit flavored malts with a moderate hop bitterness that comes from three different hop strains. We use a special roast malt to give this brew a very unique flavor that truly sets it apart from other beers.

Tap at brewery. Pours clear light brown with creamy off-white head. Aroma is toasted and caramel malts, woody notes, mixed nuts, and faint fig. Flavor is dry malts, woody and earthy bitterness, faint dark fruit notes, and some nuttiness; dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Draft at the brewery. Pours hazy burgundy brown with a creamy off white head and lots of lacing. Tastes like mild coffee bitterness, sweet bready malt, toast. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like sweet roasted malt, toast, mild coffee, light earth.

Taster on tap at the brewery. Mostly hazy, very dark red color. Good thicker off-white head. Leaves some nice, thicker lace. Bigger dark fruity malt aroma, kind of toasty. Moderate sweet taste, light spicy, light to moderte bittrer. Not crazy about this one. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. A lot of english-style aromas, that’s putting it nicely though... This is just kind of raw overall.. Not my favorite from this brewery. Light acidic tart tase to it, even. A poor finish to my 6 taster flight at this brewery... Every sip gets worse as I go. Left 2oz in the 4oz taster.

Draft in a sampler at the brewpub. Pours a clear browned copper with a small off-white head that leaves spots of lace in the glass. Aroma of nuts, toast, leaves, fruits, and florals. The fruit also throws off the nose a bit. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and an earthy mouthfeel. Not my favorite take on a brown ale, but not bad.

Draft to taster at the brewery. Looks solid; a semi-transparent orangish-brown with sticky off-white lacing. Smells semi-sweet and malty with a touch of roast and an average mouthfeel. Tick tock.

Sampled at the brewery. Amber color with a sticky off white head. Grainy nose. Light toast flavors with caramel sweetness and some apple fruit. Okay brown.

Medium brown with a finger of head. Aroma has nice hop notes and lightly toasted malts. Medium bodied. A fairly hoppy brown. Starts with nice citrus hops and finishes with a healthy dose of lightly toasted malts. A bit of chocolate, too. Pretty good.

Draft sample. Poured a clear dark brown color with an aqverage fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt, dough and hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Solid toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good complex brew.

Lighter than expected orange-amber color. Nice foamy head with good lacing. Aroma almost non-existant. Hoppy flavor, maybe a hint of sour/tart-ness. Tasty but a little strange for a brown: no roastiness.
