2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tasted at Alefest 2013. This was cask strength and I really wanted to like this beer. It was slightly warm , cloudy and full of overwhelming yeast flavor. The hops were almost chewable , if that can be said. Don't get me wrong, I love most of the DBC stuff, this one just got me wrong.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sample at Daily Growler. The beer is a hazy orange color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes gradually to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, fruit and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of earthy hops, citrus and stale malt flavors. The finish is mildly hoppy up front with a grainy malt aftertaste. Just average overall.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at the brewpub Dec. ’12. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have mild citrus notes, bready malts with mild bitterness. This is your basic ipa with nothing really special going on.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
IPAs are my favorite so I tried this first when tasting at the DBC. It had an absolutely delicious flavor. Very floral and citrus as described by the company. In that way, it was very drinkable. However, I was not prepared for the intense bitterness of this brew, which surpassed most IPAs I have had before. Overall this was a highly satisfying IPA and I will definitely be getting a pint (or possibly a growler) the next time I visit.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours hazy gold orange with crab colored foam. The aroma is citrus and dried flowers. The taste is bold orange and grapefruit citrus with some decent sweetness to work with from the grains. Slightly richer than the body holds up the flavor is brought and hearty, a nice blend of hops. A fairly solid ipa.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sampled at the brewery. Big pine tree and tangerine nose. Hazy amber beer with an off white head. Lots of red grapefruit juice and mandarin orange flavors with some apricot and English muffins with orange marmalade spread on it. A little thin, but a nice hoppy beer.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft at brewpub. Cloudy orange color with no real head. Light dusty aroma of malt. Nice flavor. Bitterness is there but no real character to it. Okay. A little off for an IPA.
