COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
D.C. United, in collaboration with DC Brau Brewing Company, LLC, announced that their limited-edition beer has been named “The Tradition.” Out of 534 entries in the “Brand the Brew” contest, Donald Wine II’s submission* reigned supreme, with midfielder Chris Pontius, defender Ethan White and defender Dejan Jakovic ultimately choosing the name for Washington, D.C.’s first-ever team-specific brew. While harkening back to the Black-and-Red’s rich history in MLS, “The Tradition” also tips its hat to DC Brau’s customary naming scheme of its beers, which includes “The Public,” “The Citizen” and “The Corruption.”

(Can) Hazy orange body with fine bubbles and a medium white head; not much lace. Toasted bread aroma. Medium body, soft. Pale toasted malt; yeast; mild bitterness. Not much to distinguish it, but acceptably drinkable when outdoors on a sunny afternoon.

On tap at Pete's New Haven Style Apizza in Silver Spring, MD. Clear yellow with an off-white head and fair lacing. Aroma of biscuit, grain, grass, light citrus and a little light fruit. Taste of grain, grass, spivey hops, lemon, light fruit and a little yeast and a touch of honey in the finish. Medium/light body and medium carbonation. A respectable blonde ale with a more interesting flavor and aroma than the average blonde ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mediocre blonde beer. More white wine tasting than anything. Light citrus with some wheaty mouthfeel.

Can @ The WWGT2D? Tasting. Thanks to Travlr, the worst rater on RB! Great session IPA, this. Gold pour with a small white head. The nose is of white grape. Mellow honey and baked bread. The taste is pretty mellow, more white grape. Pretty bready. Light grassy hop. Pretty dry. Light body, soft carbonation. OK stuff.

A great golden ale, I hope this is not actually a limited edition beer as it states in the brewer description. There are way too few good golden ales bottled (canned) AND widely available on a regular basis. Hope to find this often, will purchase. Great.
