COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To celebrate DC Beer Week DC Brau, Stillwater, Meridian Pint, & Pizzeria Paradiso came together to assemble a beer based on the old Surrealist parlor game “Exquisite Corpse.” The game, invented by Surrealists, has players write, in turn, on a sheet of paper, fold it to conceal part of the writing, and then pass it to the next player for a further contribution. This technique produces a disjointed, surreal collaborative effort. The recipe follows the rules of this game. Each participant chose his respective part without the knowledge of the others’ choices. Greg Jasgur of Pizzeria Paradiso chose the grain bill, Sam Fitz of Meridian Pint the hops, Brian Strumke of Stillwater the yeast. Brewed by Jeff Hancock at DC Brau, the resulting beer is a sessionable, Mosaic dry-hopped, rye Saison.

Serving: Draft at Leesburg Brewing Company. It pours a deep amber color with a small head. The nose has great tropical fruit notes with a hint of rye spiciness. mansquito (3255) - Nueva York, New York, USA - AUG 25, 2013
Pizzeria Paradiso, Alexandria tap ($6): Pours copper with a whitish head. Aroma is a bit of saison funk, with some tropical fruit, and a hint of rye. This is definitely less ryefull and malty than other rye saisons I have had. Light bodied, but substantial. Hoppy tingles. Lots of fruitiness, but not too much sweetness. A well-balanced session ale.

Tap. Fluffy light offwhite head, amber orange that’s mostly clear. Sweet breadiness, citrus, and melon in the aroma with some slight spice. Flavor is quite dry, yeasty, touch of grass and melon. Lighter body. Not bad.
