COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We crafted our fond farewell to summer as a collaboration with John Solomon and Chris Frashier. The pair are well known for their fine (and tasty!) work at Old Dominion in Ashburn, VA, during the mid 90’s.

"EL HEFE SPEAKS!" is a traditionally brewed German-style Hefe. It is fermented around 65° F and hopped with German Tettnang hops. 11 IBUs and 5.3% ABV make this one extremely drinkable. Perfect for the start of September.

On tap at Scion in Silver Spring, MD. Lightly hazy, sparkling golden yellow with a fine, near-white head and very good lacing. Aroma of wheat, yeast, light lemony citrus, coriander, mild cloves and banana. Taste of herbs, banana, cloves, coriander, wheat and yeast. Medium/light body and medium carbonation. A nice beer, but not competition for the top German hefeweissens. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This draft brew from the brewery poured a head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a no visible carbonation very hazy yellow white colored body and a good lacing. The nice aroma was floral malty and banana. The mild citrus crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow aftertaste. The yummy flavor contained notes of semi-sweet mild citrus mild hops floral banana and malt. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

Low carbonation but maybe thats because my can is six months old. Anyways, easy to drink, nice flavor, tastes alcoholic but look its only 5.2%. Real good stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This was a nice surprise, a nice change up for the middle of winter. Appearance was pleasant light Amber, nothing distinctive, light carbonation no lacing. Light citrus yeast aroma. Flavor was similar: light spice wheat with some very mild bitterness finished with a nice yeast breadlines that was chewy to me in a good way; light crisp but with some enjoyable substance ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
