2.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
My 50th DC beer rate. Cask Black as you-know-what, brown edge head. Aroma of chocolate rootbeer float. Taste is extremely bitter and spiced old coffee, not a pleasant combination.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask. Small beige head, clear red-black body. Aroma is moderately sweet, sarsparilla, chocolate liqueur, light roast. Taste is moderately sweet, milk/bittersweet chocolate, some roast, light sarsaparilla. Light-medium body, minimal carbonation, lightly sticky. Tasted side-by-side with the regular version -- definitely enjoyed this one more.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask at Churchkey for beerís debut. Poured a lighter color than the base beer, but still was a relatively dark brown color. This time it had a wispy head. Aroma is serious on the sarsaparilla. Notes of chocolate, with a ton of sarsaparilla in the flavor. Mouthfeel was a bit creamy, with a touch of suds. This was a nice experiment. Enjoyed this one a lot.
