12oz can, shared by alexsdad06. Half hazy orange-gold color. Nice thin off-white head. Decent bits of lace. Grapefruit aroma, biscuity malts, spicy hop. Mostly bitter taste, lightly sweet. Bigger body, good crisp lighter carbonation. Solid DIPA. I could see myself regularly getting multiples of this, if it were available in my area.

Tap at Rustico in Alexandria. (Rad spot) Pours a hazy neon orange with minimal head. Aroma is candy sugar, hops, slight dankness and more hop candy. Taste is sweet but works well with the pour temp. Some nice hops and citrus going on and while sweet, the overall alcohol works well here.

This was from a can at Dark Lord Day bottle/can sharing in Munster, Indiana. Pored in my glass as clear orange color with a good sized off white head with creamy bubbles. Medium plus in body with a clean crisp mouth feel. The flavor has tropical fruit including pineapple, Finish has a ton of fruit flavors and nice bitterness. Really good DIPA.

- alvinne
- groezrock ( a belgian punk/ hardocre festival)
pours yellow ( if poured, of course ) / orange . white foam
smell is delicious ! hoppy , bitter, juicy . realy juicy taste. VERY nice, bitter.
noit THE best IIPA, but one of the better ones i ever had. feel lucky to have tried this ( and have a great can for my metal-collection ! )
thanx gene!
btw, as always, but hyere it seems even more extreme, the IIPA that this is, is best served realy cold, in my opinion. you taste less fruits if it warms up ( i do, anyway) .

12oz. cans shared by Travlr @kraddel’s Post TdG tasting 04/2013, cheers! - Very well-balanced powerful DIPA with a solid and chewy biscuit malt base to carry the punch. Pine, peach and I would swear Simcoe hop profile, maracuja and some alcohol set free as it warms up. Elegant and drinkable execution of a style inhererently prone to extremisms of all kinds.

My Bottom Line:
This perfumy Double IPA propels citrus and marijuana-like aromatics onto and within chewy honeyed cereals for a quintessential example of the style.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the misty honey blond.
-Alcohol is very well hidden.
-Resinous hop bitterness is nicely leveled and harmonious with the rest of the flavor profile.
-There is balance within the intensity, which I like in this case.
Can.

Can courtesy of jcartamdg. Thanks, Jason! Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Nose is some sweet malt, big and huge citrus, with light booze, and some bitterness. Flavor is similar with caramel, huge citrus, light booze, and some pith with bitterness loitering around. Finishes with some lingering grapefruit and bitterness. Medium in body with lingering bitter. Nice!
