And so it was written.......
According to Mayan and Hopi calendars the "transition from one world age to another" will happen on December 21, 2012. As an homage to the "transition" DC Brau has concocted an Imperial IPA named "On the Wings of Armageddon".

Kurmaraja hooked this can up as an extra when he was just doing me a favor. Ryan is a cool cat.. I appreciate it amigo. 12oz can poured into my Stone Tap-Takeover goblet.. 2 finger off white head.. huge retention and lacing.. the brew is clear orange/amber. Grassy/citrus hoppiness on the nose is muted by way too much pale malt and even a bit of a biscuity/lite caramel maltiness.. very malt forward for a DIPA. Flavor pretty much mirrors the nose.. not a big enough bitter profile to balance the bigger than expected malts.. I would like waaay more hop presence and a much drier brew. Body is too heavy and the carbonation seems too light. Decent brew, but it definitely seems "East Coast".... too much residual maltiness and not nearly enough big-boned hoppiness.

Not bad but rather sweet for what I thought I was getting into. Not heavy but has some kick. Tap

Can. Poured a hazy amber with a nice tight bubbly white head. Aromas of citrus fruits, floral, sweet malts, and alcohol. Flavor was grapefruit, bready, caramel, highly bitter, and booze. Another one that I feel didn’t hide the booze well. Medium to full body and a slick texture. Lively carbonation and very bitter to finish. Super easy-drinking, just very boozy to me.

Hazy light yellow pour. Nice hoppy nose. A touch sweet, then lots of hops. Easy bitter finish. Nice.

Very well balanced beer and enjoyable. Aromas of citrus. Flavor is more of the same. This beer is in great balance with the alcohol very well hidden.

Draft. Pours orange with a white head. Fruity hops, some citrus, moderate bitterness, and light sweet malty notes. Relatively balanced. Pretty good.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a uncarbonated slightly hazy yellow orange colored body and a poor lacing. The mild aroma was floral and malt hop. The crisp mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish with a medium hoppy aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of mild caramel floral hops and bread dough. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Pour from a can is a nice hazy amber with a white head. Aroma is floral with subtle hints of pine. Taste is sweet at first followed by a slight bitterness followed by a dry and bitter after taste. Goes down with a sweetness and slight but leaves a dry pine after taste.

Can : Pour is murky gold, with a one fingered white head into this glass. It retains fairly well, with sticky lacing presence here - This batch has a nice feeling overall - This rich, dank IPA has a heavy dose of tropicals on the nose. Honey and caramel, pine and grassy hops.... its really nice , honestly. The flavor profile has a very nice malt backbone with a healthy dose of sweet for the style. Carmel Honey, light bready malts - with floral and piney hop notes inter mixed with a top notch tropical mango / grapefruit hop profile here. It’s just a nice one for sure
