4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle into my DC Brau tulip. "Bottled in 2012"
Appearance: Pours a hazy but beautifully glowing orange with a one finger white head. sticky lacing and decent retention.
Aroma: Fresh grapefruit citrusy hops.
Taste: Lots of grapefruit citrusy hops Very fresh and tropical with some pine notes showing up. Dry biscuity malt, although there isnít much to speak of. not complaining though. Plenty of flavor in this one. Not too complex. Excellently balanced. Flavors are so crisp and refreshing.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied. Perfect carbonation. Smooth and a fantastic bitter finish. Another fantastic brew from what is quickly becoming the best local brewery. Shout out to my man Chad for the hook up on this one. I love trying DC Brauís beers.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
I was extremely disappointed in this beer. I sampled this on draft the Railroad in Linfield. The beer poured a light orange color with a thin off-white head. The nose was big and powerful, with notes of alcohol, fruity hops, whiskey and sweet malts. The flavors and body were also very strong with grape, whiskey, alcohol and more sweet fruity hops. I didnít sense an overwhelming flavor of hops, which should be there in a double IPA. This beer seemed to be more about upping the alcohol content and brewing a powerful and strong beer. The only time the hops really took center stage was in the finish and the aftertaste.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks to my cousin! This is a sweet, weighty IPA. It is a little punchy and boozy, but is nicely complex on the palate. Quite good overall.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Can shared with DrSilverworm in May 2013 notes. Pours a hazy golden orange color with a medium sized off white head that leaves sticky lace. The aroma has a wonderful grapefruit citrus, resin, some dank hops, caramel and toasted bread. The flavor has thick grapefruit citrus, resin, some sweet caramel that cuts the bitterness a bit, toasted bread, long lasting bitterness through the finish. I would love to have this around in cans all of the time.

Had out of a can that was about 2 months old. Strong citrus/piney aroma. The taste is of piney bitterness with hints of citrus and caramel. Overall a great IPA that I'd love to try fresh. Piney citrusy carmel goodness.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours brick orange with a soft golden hue and a thin head of khaki foam that fell quickly and left a bit of a ring and some slippery lace as it drank. Nose is a blast of dank herbal, tropical mango and sexy caramel. Thereís some sweet earth underneath it all and some citric tartness on top. Thereís even a moment of peppery spice before you discover the earthy christmas tree pine. taste is intense. Firm malt lays down deliberately and fully on the palate creating a sweet canvas for an eminent ripe mango with a splash of grapefruit. . The herbal is pungent and leafy and the pine is earthy and steadfast. All these flavors roil and roll, reaching their individual peaks while the malt stands firm and unmoving. In fact it creeps forward with a bit more earth to remind you that armageddon is coming. Then it strikes! The bitter. Itís a stronger hop bitter than it actually seems because of the staunch malt and it lasts well into the finish with some stickiness and a bit of resin to coat the throat and leave a lingering caramel in the aftertaste. The fruit has been removed from you and the this is the end of time.
This beer is not what I was expecting. It is the definition of intense. For an DIPA it is truly complex and that is rare. Layered, lasting, urgent, forceful. This is no shy beer. I love it!
Thank you @Shroud0fdoom.
