COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Penn Quarter Porter is our first in a line of draft-only limited-release beer, and it’s a robust porter! In the way that The Public is on the line between a pale ale and an IPA, this is on the line between a porter and a stout - with chocolate notes and a dry, roasted finish.

Can poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting creamy brown head. Aromas of roasted malt, bakers cocoa, dark roast coffee and vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, dark chocolate and light coffee with a smooth lingering dark chocolate finish.

Can. Pitch black with a thick solid tan head. Aroma is chocolate and roasted malt with a hint of smoke. Taste follows suit and adds light vanilla, coffee and soy sauce notes. Rich mouthfeel with strong carb for the style. Really good.

Can. Pours dark brown with big, pillowy tan head. Decent retention and some lace. Aroma is roasted, nutty malt, toffee and caramelized sugar, dark chocolate. Flavor is toasted, toffee, and lightly roasted malt, fading into a big chocolatey, heavily roasted, caramel finish. RIch and roasted. Soft carbonation, medium body, and smooth texture.

Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with caramel colored head and substantial lacing. Hints of chocolate, roasted coffee beans, and vanilla on the nose. Cocoa nibs, chocolate, coffee flavors. An excellent porter.

355ml can. Pretty ho-hum chcoolate and roasted malt notes, mix of a stout and porter but still quite small.

Had this at a share. A black oil like pour. Cocoa mainly on the nose. On the palate, there is roasted malt, cocoa, and just a hint of dark fruit. Glad I had the chance to try this.

Dark, roasty malt with toast, burnt caramel coffee, and char. Long and smooth finish. A bare hint of hops with a bit of crispness. A great porter, amazing for a can.

Can... Black pour with a mid-sized, creamy, lightly tan head. Good retention. The bouquet is a luxuriant, malty swirl of brownie crusts, toasted almonds, pistachios and vanilla. Medium-bodied and oily with tickling carbonation. The hearty flavor is a marriage of roasty espresso and dark chocolate mocha. Robust, burnt, unsweetened-cocoa aftertaste. Can courtesy of ctipping!
