COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Penn Quarter Porter is our first in a line of draft-only limited-release beer, and it’s a robust porter! In the way that The Public is on the line between a pale ale and an IPA, this is on the line between a porter and a stout - with chocolate notes and a dry, roasted finish.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2015 Bomber into snifter glass. Deep brown color with a finger of brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, milk chocolate, and dark coffee. Some dark fruit and some vanilla notes. Taste is the aroma, roasted malt sweetness with some smokiness character. Balanced with faint bitter hops. Medium mouth-feel, oily, smooth and creamy. Lasting coffee and bitter hop aftertaste. Very good stuff, add this to the canning line.

Good looking porter, it’s cola brown with a large tan head. Aromas are roasted malts, dark chocolate, and some alcohol. Delicious flavors of chocolate, some herbal hops, a little coffee. There’s some caramel sweetness to balance the roast notes. Soft and light mouthfeel with a frothy carbonation makes this very easy drinking.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a head of foamy tan colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque black brown colored body and a fair lacing. The nice aroma was roasted malt toasted malt and chocolate. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering roasted malt aftertaste. The yummy flavor contained notes of semi-sweet roasted malt toasted malt chocolate dark malt and hops. A wonderful best in class brew.

Love this caramel rich porter. Lovely black pour with light head. Aroma of rich brown sugar, mild hops and rich caramel malts with hints of coffee. Comes through with the same over the palate and just a hint of spice. High effervescence and heavy body make for a pleasing, lingering brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sturdy porter and a snappy hat. Aroma is slightly underwhelming but the taste delivers with in your face roasted malt followed by faint notes of coffee and chocolate with a light body. Doesn’t have that cloying sweetness that some porters have; however, it’s not overly dry either. Very nice.

Pours very dark brown, almost black. Aromas of dark roasted malt and some chocolate. Flavor follows through to the taste. Finishes mostly dry, with slight residual sweetness. In balance and tasty.
