COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Penn Quarter Porter is our first in a line of draft-only limited-release beer, and itís a robust porter! In the way that The Public is on the line between a pale ale and an IPA, this is on the line between a porter and a stout - with chocolate notes and a dry, roasted finish.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a lazing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of coffee, roasted malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, bread, and coffee, leading to a dry coffee finish. Thanks madsberg for sharing.

Can, shared by Cunningham. Very dark brown in color, topped by a dense finger thick light tan head. The aroma has lots of licorice and molasses, as well as roasted malts and some coffee. Quite sweet on the palate, with molasses and some licorice. A nice bitterness too, lasting for a long time. Full body and soft carbonation. Lasting finish. A really pleasant one, could easily drink more of this. 140214

Draft at Churchkey, courtesy of staff, thank you gentlemen! Nearly completely black, massive very dark brown head with good retention and moderate lacing. Aroma of pure cocoa powder and a hint of pepper. Taste is coffee grounds and dark chocolate. Medium body. More like a stout than a porter. Tasty.

Draft. Medium brown head topped by black body with brown edge. Aroma is moderately sweet, chococoffee, roast, light caramel, nut. Taste is moderately sweet, chococoffee, roast, some caramel, earthy/grapefruit. Creamy light-medium body. Nice bold flavor for a sub-six percenter, and a beer thatís far superior to DC Brauís first offering.
