COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Penn Quarter Porter is our first in a line of draft-only limited-release beer, and it’s a robust porter! In the way that The Public is on the line between a pale ale and an IPA, this is on the line between a porter and a stout - with chocolate notes and a dry, roasted finish.

Deep opaque brown with tiny cappuccino head. Nose is toasted malts and dark cocoa. Taste is toasted and charred malts, bitter chocolate nibs, and earthiness. Thinner mouthfeel with bitter chocolate finish.

12 oz can poured. Huge thanks to Eugene for picking me up a DC tick. Old to the shelf, but fresh to me. Pours a near black with an active tan fizz head. Robust toasty aroma. Flavor is chocolatel up front. Solid roasted character. Has a slight burnt feel to it. Hot finish. Toasty malt. Unique stoutish porter here. I enjoyed this.

I only purchased this at Stateline to get a DC tick, even though I feel like I have had DC beer before. Should have checked that date b/c this was BB 01/25/16. DAMNNNN!!!!! Stateline you need to rotate your beer. Very dark brown color with a brown head. Maybe a little staleness on the nose or I am biasing myself. Thick brown malts, earthy. Basically wet, dark earth malts. Flavor a little lighter with a light roast. Very low hops. Sweet end but not sugary. I would like to try it fresh.

Nice even porter. Thick enough to be filling, but not to the point of exhaustion. Nice cocoa taste and some bitter nibs. Can

Can thanks to Sarah! Pours black with a brown head that dissipates it the edges. Aroma has lots of roasted malts with some dark grains and a bit of chocolate underlying. Flavor has lots of roasted malts with dark grains and a bit of chocolate backing.

Pours a black brown color with a foamy light brown head that quickly melts away to a ring. Notes of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, stale trail mix.

Totally dark with an average size mocha colored head that left good lacing. Roasted malt aroma with traces of molasses and chicory. Flavors fall within the comfort zone of well made porters, with the bitterness of the hops pairing up nicely with the roasted, mildly sweet malts. Medium bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Long lasting finish.

Aroma - heavy malt, roast, chocolate. Appearance - dark brown color body with a beige head. Taste - sweet and bitter with astringent roasted coffee Palate - medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Astringent roast finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
